Sarune Miklovaite, MSN, RN, CCM, LNC, CHC, is a highly accomplished advanced practice nurse and advocate dedicated to empowering military personnel with their transition to civilian life.
In 2017 she took on a pivotal role as Ombudsman (also known as FRSA or FRO) for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in San Francisco, California. She worked closely with service members and families at the facility, assisting them with needs as well as advocating for military members medical care locally in civilian medical world due to lack of military facilities within appropriate range.
During this time, she discovered a significant gap in the Transition Assistance Program (TAPS) process—a lack of guidance in filing for benefits often left service members with insufficient or no disability ratings. Recognizing the vital role these benefits play in ensuring a smooth transition to civilian life, Ms. Miklovaite committed herself to addressing this unmet need.
SUM Health Impact provides personalized assistance to ensure that transitioning military personnel and their families are set up for success in civilian life.
SUM Health Impact operates under the guiding principle of empowering service members to achieve the disability benefits they deserve, honoring their sacrifices and dedication to the country.
